2012 National All Breeds Calf Show
We had a good trip to the Calf Show with 3 Friesian calves and 1 Shorthorn. Placings in the Friesians were 1st with Adams Clementine 77 in the Jan - Apr 2011 class, 2nd with Lismulligan Pennie 23 in the May to Aug 2011 class and 6th in the Dec- Feb class in the Friesians and 4th with Shorthorn.
Congratulations to Nyomi Band who was 6th in the Intermediate Coloured Breeds class and was British Friesian Champion Handler.
2012 Dairy Event
It was a long but successful trip south to the NEC for the 2012 Dairy Event, results include:-
2nd Heifer in Milk with Adams Clementine 68
Class 6 Cow in Milk having had two or three calves 1st Lismulligan Priscilla 41 and 2nd Lismulligan Eileen 24
In Class 7 British Friesian Cow in Milk having had four or more calves Lismulligan Empress 24 took first and Priscilla 41 went on to be Reserve Champion.
THANKS TO SALE SUPPORTERS
It's been a hectic few weeks again so the update from the sale has been a little delayed but thanks to all who purchased from us, we wish you every success with them. Lisnamulligan Fairy 13th (Shorthorn) was top price at 1700gns, sold to Robert and Elaine Butterfield. Also Lismulligan Empress 33 was top price British Friesian at 1420gns to P. McVerry in Northern Ireland.

OPEN DAY SUCCESS
We would just like the thank the 100 plus people who made the effort and in some cases very long trip to view the herd on the 4th July. It was a memorable day for us as a family, and we hope those who came enjoyed the event as much as we did, now its full steam ahead preparing for next weeks youngstock sale at Carlisle on 18th July....

ROYAL HIGHLAND RESULTS 2012
The Lisnamulligan Shorthorn team got Reserve Junior with the In calf heifer Lisnamulligan Princess Anne 4th, who won the same prize last year.
We were 2nd and 3rd in the Maiden class with Lady Barrington 2nd and Fairy 13th. Fairy 13th was also 6th in a big class of senior calves on Saturday in the showmanship section. Fairy 11th (dam of Fairy 13th) was 2nd in the Junior cow class and Whitetail 2nd was 3rd.
WEST FIFE SHOW- 2nd June 2012
It's more success, with the same outcome as at Fife Show, Lucy 57 Champion and Brandy Lavender 15 Reserve. We were also very pleased in the pairs class where the 2 of them combined to come 2nd in a class of 6 pairs, with all the rest being Holsteins.
FIFE SHOW - 19th May 2012
Despite the weather which has plagued us and the start fo the show season for everyone we ventured to nearby Fife show.
Following on from her success at the Uk Dairy Expo, Lismulligan Lucy 57 was Any Other Breed Champion ahead of herdmate Lismulligan Brandy Lavender 15, going on to be Reserve Dairy Champion.

MARCH 2012 CLASSIFICATIONS
We have just had the classifier visit, the three herd sires were scored, read more about them on the Friesians page.
There were 6 heifers scored with our show winner, Lismulligan Lucy 57 going BFV87, Adams Cherry 10 was BFG+83 and two other heifers were also G+.
In the cows we scored 28 with 10 BFE, 11 BFV and a further 5 G+

CHAMPION AT THE 1ST UK DAIRY EXPO
It was a worthwhile trip south to Carlisle for the UK Dairy Expo on 2nd and 3rd March.
Lismulligan Lucy 57 won the 2 & 3 yr old in Milk class and went on to be Friesian Champion.
She is now scored BFV87-2yrs

She is sired by Deangate Prince 2, calved in October 2011 and was giving 30kg per day at last recording in Mid February. Her dam is the BFE92-5E Terrington Legacy daughter- Lismulligan Lucy 24 who milked until she was 18 years old.
Other results include:-
- Lismulligan Brandy Lavender 15 who was 2nd in the 2 and 3 yr old class behind Lucy 57
- Adams Clementine 40 BFE91-3E who was 2nd senior cow in milk, in her 6th lactation, picture to follow
- Adams Clementine 55 BFV85 a third calver who was 2nd senior cow in milk
LONGEVITY AT IT'S BEST
The herd is pleased to have Lismulligan Myra 27 within its midst.
This cow has done us proud, she has nealry yielded 100 tonnes, is classified BFE95 -7E having just scored EX again for the 7th time in March 2012, sired by Catlane Muster she is giving over 33kg last recording (Feb 2012), calved her 11th in late November 2011, projected to over 8000kg again and served in mid February.
